Understanding the Dashboard

2 min read

Your Command Center

The OrderRules dashboard gives you a real-time view of your store's order capacity. Everything you need is accessible from this single screen.

Store Status Card

At the top of the dashboard, you will see your current store status:

  • OPEN -- your store is currently accepting orders
  • CLOSED -- orders are blocked (outside business hours, limit reached, or special date)

The card also shows the reason for closure and the next opening or closing time.

Order Capacity Cards

If you have limits configured, the dashboard displays up to three capacity cards:

Today's Orders

Shows your current daily count versus your daily limit, along with a progress bar and remaining capacity.

This Week

Shows your weekly order count versus your weekly limit with percentage used.

This Month

Shows your monthly order count versus your monthly limit.

Color coding:

  • Green (0-79%) -- normal capacity, orders flowing
  • Yellow (80-99%) -- approaching your limit
  • Red (100%) -- limit reached, orders are blocked

Quick Actions

One-click navigation to every section of the app:

  • Schedule -- business hours and weekly schedule
  • Order Limits -- daily, weekly, and monthly caps
  • Calendar -- special dates and holiday closures
  • Product Limits -- per-product quantity controls
  • Customer Limits -- per-customer frequency rules
  • Settings -- messages, timezone, notifications
  • Analytics -- order trends and capacity usage

App Overview Panel

A summary of your current configuration status:

  • Business hours -- configured or not set
  • Order limits -- active or not set
  • Product limits -- number of products with limits
  • Special dates -- configured or none

This panel helps you see at a glance whether your setup is complete or if something still needs attention.

Tips for Using the Dashboard

  • Watch the color coding -- yellow means you are getting close and may want to plan ahead
  • Use quick actions to jump directly to any setting without navigating through menus
  • The dashboard updates in real time as orders come in
